Enjoying Spring Break as an Adult
As an adult, you either look forward to spring break with great fondness or great annoyance. When you’re no longer a student, the typical hot spots no longer do.
Overrun with drunk co-eds and expensive parties, these places lose their luster when you’re just looking to relax for a week. If you want to get away from the crowds, choose a destination that’s not typically known for attracting college students.
While some years you might be looking for spring break family vacations, it’s understandable if you want to take a trip that’s just for adults now and again! No matter if you’re looking for some high octane adventure, rich culture, or slow paced places to de-stress, these spring break for adults destinations are sure to satisfy your tastes.
Savannah, Georgia, USA
If culture and history are what you’re after, but you don’t want to travel too far from home, Savannah is a top destination for spring break for adults. Full of museums, breweries and antique shops, there’s plenty to do amid the Historic District of the city.
Stroll down cobblestone streets filled with the largest number of historic landmarks in the United States and enjoy the city market. Watch a reenactment at one of the old forts or take a romantic cruise on the Savannah River.
If you’re looking for something a little more unique and don’t mind getting the creepie-crawlies, Savannah also offers some of the most highly rated ghost tours in America.
Negril, Jamaica
