One of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades outside of Dublin, tens of thousands of spectators fill the streets of Limerick around the holiday every year to see its parade which includes bands, colorful floats and community groups that offer entertainment and a riot of noise.
Over the weekend of March 15 to 18 in 2019, a market featuring crafts, food, family-activities and more will also be hosted. Expect plenty of live musical performances too.

The Galway St. Patrick’s festival offers something a bit more unique as it’s used as a platform for showcasing community groups and local artists. Here you can look forward to catching a wide range of talented performers as well as outstanding live music. It features street dancing, parties and entertainment, along with an impressive showcase of art.
St. Patrick himself makes an appearance as well. Held on the holiday itself, 2019 will mark its 117th anniversary, with the parade kicking off at 11:30 a.m.
